2009 DCA Prelims Show - Live Thread

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! Sorry to be joining the party late - but trust me, I've been here and simply unable to post. As Kevin has already mentioned, we suffered network access issues - but were finally able to get the network issues here at the stadium patched-around. Jeff has been capturing video and I think you'll be happy wtih the results. I'll get started posting them just as soon as we can ... we'll do so in performance order.

THANK YOU for your patience. Hopefully, this is all behind us and we'll be able to give you the front-row seat you've been looking forward to ... and that we've worked hard to put together for you.

Enjoy!

Nope, network is back now if you didn't see. John worked his magic in spite of the issues here at the stadium. I am making my whole 2nd post since I got here around noon. We are working on getting all of the content we have collected up on the site!

I like how Cru weaves Venus from the Planets along with the ballad.

Fantasia on the Dargason now. Tubas up front trading off with a trumpet soloist. This also is from Star '89 and is a similar arrangement so far.

Now, if Cru could get the guard numbers to match the rest of the corps, they would be getting even better visual scores.

Company front!!!

Nice impact to finish Dargason! Now, back to Planets, this time Jupiter. It's all Holst, all the time, baby!

Wow, not only is the guard small, some of those kids don't look old enough to drive.

Company arc! Big push with the Jupiter slow melody before breaking into high tempo and the big finish. Horns come up in front of the front side in a tight block and finish the show literally in our faces. Great job, Cru!!!

Music City Legend is coming onto the field as if they were in the Army and led by a drill instructor, sounding off with chants.

Hey, I just saw Toby!
